Julia Roberts With Beautiful Jewelry

Julia Roberts’ European tour for Eat, Pray, Love continued this weekend as she left Rome for Paris promotional duties. These photos are from the Paris premiere… my opinion: much better. But I actually thought her Dolce & Gabbana black lace dress on Thursday’s Rome premiere was nice too. On her. I know a lot of you disagreed with me, and yes, it wasn’t the most flattering thing she could have worn, etc. But I thought Julia pulled it together reasonably well for someone who puts herself out there as a woman who doesn’t give a crap about fashion. Of course, maybe I was still in shock over her hideous muumuu, belt and leggings combo the previous day. Maybe I’m still in shock, because I really like this blue/purple outfit Julia wore to the Paris premiere.

It slims the lower half of her body very well. However, the sleeves and the wrap-v-neck top part of the dress gives her added bulk that she doesn’t need. And that belt isn’t the best either – Julia needs to stop with the belts. Someone needs to tell her to stop visually drawing attention to her waist. And I’m sure some of you will say that she still looks pregnant. Meh to that. But the hair looks great, as does the makeup, and this color looks wonderful on her. I LOVE jewel tones. Oh, you know why Julia’s makeup has been looking so good lately? Because she’s the spokeswoman for Lancome, and she’s on the verge of signing another contract with them, this time for five years, with something like $50 million in total. GAH. Anyway, my Javi was in Paris for the premiere too – and he and Julia were all over each other. Bitch. Her, not him. Get off of him!

Dress Trends for Spring-Summer 2011

When choosing a proper office outfit one should consider to balance the look by going for simple shapes, colorless clothes, yet not too dull, and not too short or too long clothes. Put your imagination to the test and create original office outfits looking at the spring/summer trends. From retro to modern, you have plenty of sources of inspiration.

Dresses
If you love wearing dresses even at the office, this year you’ll be surprised by the numerous versions of shapes, colors and texture combinations.

The little black dress is a classic, timeless piece especially if matched with an oversized necklace. Following the 2010 trends you should pair the LBD with a white blazer or with one in the classic white-black combination. White and black is the hottest combination this year, that designers used it to recreate retro prints, with dots and stripes, on modern dresses, juxtaposing diaphanous fabrics.

Bows, flounces and frills represent an interesting alternative for creating a retro-chic style, especially if we keep the color scale white-black-gray-ecru, and eventually with red tones. A winning combination is that of a diaphanous dress with floral prints, a plain cardigan or coat trench and a fine belt.

For those of you who are more into chromatic minimalism there are several ways of choosing a modern office dress. On the other hand, you may be the avangardist type and then you can enjoy the neon shades proposed this year such as blue, green and yellow. By combining them with minimalist clothing items, it will certainly be the boldest office statement.

Elegant Long Dresses

http://i27.tinypic.com/166aq1c.jpg
Elegant long dresses are chic responses to the dress code 'smart casual' or 'cocktail' for any semi-formal event. Maybe you got invited to a christmas party or to go to a party at a beautiful restaurant. Other similar events include launch parties, media events and sometimes, even glamourous birthday parties!

The event usually is not AS formal that requires you to wear a gown.

It is, however, not AS casual for you to come in jeans.

These long dresses are a dressier alternative to a cocktail dress, or as I would say, a dressed up version of smart casual.
